Obviously the event and later condition of your wife takes place before everything else. Don't you worry on some "risk management" or "trades", those won't matter.
All the best for both of you and come back when situations normalise again :)
Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 You’re absolutely right, some things are far more important than the markets, and right now my focus is fully on family. Trading will always be here, but moments like these put everything into perspective. I truly appreciate your support and good wishes!!
Great writeup Vlad, I agree we need to be emotionally ready as the markets can be punishing. Please take some time off if needed, family is the most important thing we have in our lives!
When it comes to tracking trades, what specific items are you prioritizing when tracking? Is it state of emotions, did I enter and exit and follow my plan, etc... would love to hear what the emphasis should be.
You’re absolutely right, the market will always be there, but family comes first. I’m making sure to recharge and keep my priorities straight so I can come back stronger and sharper. Appreciate your words!
When it comes to tracking my trades, the most important things for me are:
Did I follow my plan? (entry, exit, trade thesis, position size, etc.)
– For example, in the MARA trade, as soon as the price on the daily timeframe dropped below the 10 EMA, I should have closed the position....but I didn’t.
Did I risk more than I stood to gain?
– If I risk $100,000 to make $10,000, that’s a terrible trade (just an example, of course).
Is this a proper setup or just a random trade?
I also analyze everything in my digital trading journal, from MAE and MFE to the total drawdown of the position , and reflect on how I could have executed that trade better. I do this for both my losers and my winners.
Some things are more valuable than others.

Happy for your feedback and as I said earlier, all the best :)
Thanks for sharing brother! I hope your wife’s situation improves rapidly!🙏🏽

I have a saying I use all the time:
You can’t improve what you don’t measure!
Sending you support ❤️
